𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗖 takes anti-corruption campaign to the grassroots in Kajiado

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is taking its anti-corruption campaign to the grassroots in Kajiado County through a week-long EACC Mashinani Community Engagement programme scheduled for September 21–25, 2026.

Ahead of the campaign, EACC Commissioner Dr. Cecilia Mutuku met with Kajiado County leadership on Wednesday, 24 August 2026, to rally support and strengthen collaboration in advancing ethical leadership, integrity, accountability, and good governance.

Dr. Mutuku met County Secretary Dr Leina Mpoke, representing Governor H.E. Joseph Ole Lenku; Deputy Speaker Hon. Daniel Kokan, representing County Assembly Speaker Hon. Justus Ngossor; and County Commissioner Mr. Michael Yator.

The Commissioner underscored EACC’s commitment to working with county leadership and other stakeholders to deepen public awareness, strengthen citizen participation and build confidence in the fight against corruption.

Through 𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗶, the Commission will engage county leaders and staff, Members of the County Assembly, university and TVET students, and members of the public, bringing the Commission’s anti-corruption mandate closer to citizens and institutions.

𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗶  is part of EACC’s broader, robust anti-corruption initiatives being undertaken across the country, targeting diverse stakeholders and creating platforms for citizens and institutions to play an active role in preventing and combating corruption.

Commissioner Mutuku also engaged with Kajiado County Commissioner, Mr Michael Yator.

With Kajiado County leadership pledging its support, the Commission calls upon the people of Kajiado to turn up in large numbers, participate actively, ask questions, share experiences, and engage EACC throughout the week.
